Ningbo ZhouShan

The Port of Ningbo-Zhoushan, situated on the East China Sea coast in Zhejiang province, holds the distinction of being the world’s busiest port by cargo tonnage. In 2015 alone, it processed an impressive 888.96 million tons of cargo. Strategically positioned at the confluence of major north-south shipping routes, both inland and coastal, the port facilitates access to crucial waterways like the Yangtze River.

Comprising multiple ports – Beilun (a seaport), Zhenhai (an estuary port), and the historic Ningbo harbor (an inland river port) – the Port of Ningbo-Zhoushan is managed by Ningbo Zhoushan Port Co., Ltd. (NZP), a publicly traded company with significant state ownership (76.31%) through Ningbo Zhoushan Port Group Co., Ltd. as of June 30, 2017.
